Man who defied court orders is seeking justice in court- Sani mocks El-Rufai

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, now becomes the reality of the maxim he who laughs last laughs the best. This is as the former senator said the N400 billion stolen by El-Rufai showed he was right all the while.

The Kaduna State House of Assembly on Wednesday, June 5, during plenary directed the state governor, Uba Sani to proceed with arrest and prosecution of the former governor over alleged diversion of N400 billion from the state purse.

According to the Kaduna House of Assembly, El-Rufai along with his Commissioner of Finance diverted loans his administration took in the name of the state. Read the detailed report here.

In a statement on Wednesday, Shehu said the report of the House of Assembly has shown he was right in calling out the El-Rugai government for destroying the economy of Kaduna State.

Recall that El-Rufai fought off Senator Sani from the senate. The former governor also carried out demolitions on some buildings said to belong to Senator Sani.

Sani said, “For eight years, I stood alone telling the people of Kaduna State and the country how our state was systematically looted by the Governor and the criminal gang around him.

“The People inside and outside the state were deceived with aesthetics and industrial scale propaganda. They wrecked the economy of the state, enriched themselves and their families, destroyed the lives and livelihoods of millions of people and used religion to divide our state.

“I was persecuted and many attempts were made on my life and that of my supporters. Many politicians in the state were silenced out of fear of arrest, attacks by thugs or having their properties confiscated or demolished. I refused to be silenced. The Kaduna Assembly report is a vindication.”
