NFF Appoints Germany’s Bruno Labbadia As Super Eagles Coach

The Nigerian Football Federation has appointed German, Bruno Labbadia, as the 37th Head Coach of the national senior football team, the Super Eagles.

The NFF announced this in the early hours of Tuesday on its X handle.

The announcement read: “The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles.

“NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said in the early hours of Tuesday: ‘The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles.

“‘The appointment is with immediate effect.’”

With the appointment,  Labbadia will lead the Super Eagles to execute the matches coming matches for the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Nigerian team will play  a home game  against Benin Republic on September 7 at the Nest of Champions, Uyo before traveling to Rwanda for their next match three days later.

The Super Eagles camp is expected to open on the 1st of September in Uyo.
