Nigerian Afrobeat Queen, Yemi Alade, has said personal life should not be brought to social media, stating that personal life should remain personal.
The songwriter and Johnny crooner said some issues that concern personal life should not be made known to everybody. The singer of Amazing Grace said her personal life is personal and not for everyone.
The 35 years old awards winner and activist advised her fans that social is for everyone, therefore, personal life issues should not be brought to social media.
Yemi Alade said “Understand this and know peace. My personal life is personal ( not for everyone) . Social media is for everyone, UNDERSTOOD?”

Yemi’s counsel followed criticism from some fans after she condemned the Lagos State government’s action in demolishing Mende Estate buildings without giving proper notice to residents.
The polyglot, who can sing in English, Igbo, Pidgin, Yoruba, French, Swahili and Portuguese, said it was wrong for the Sanwo-Olu administration to give residents only two hours’ notice before the demolition of buildings.
