JUST IN: Dangote and Bill Gates attend NEC meeting in Aso Rock

Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Foundation and Bill Gates are among the dignitaries attending the National Economic Council (NEC) currently underway at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, with Vice President Kashim Shettima presiding.

NEWFLASH reports that the meeting is presided over by Vice President, Kashim Shettima at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Also present at the meeting are governors Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa State), Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Lawan Dauda (Zamfara State), among others.

Also in attendance are deputy governors representing their principals, some Ministers and some states commissioners.

The meeting is expected to have a holistic review of the nation’s economic policy and the recent fuel price increase.

In other news, the Co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates has disclosed the reason Nigeria receives the largest share of intervention funds allocated by the foundation in Africa.

He explained that the foundation spends a lot in Nigeria because of the population and the incredible needs.

Gates stated this during an interview with selected journalists on the sidelines of the 2024 NutriVision Dialogue on Tuesday in Abuja.
