Enugu announces teachers recruitment for 260 smart schools

Enugu State government has announced recruitment of teachers for its 260 smart school project across the state.

 

Governor Peter Mbah said the smart school by his administration would put Enugu in top three education position in Nigeria.

 

Mbah said with the smart school project to be built across the state’s wards, powered by solar and ICT compliant, Enugu would grow its GDP and achieve its human capital development.

 

The purpose of “Peter Mbah is to deliver quality education that will place Enugu as one of three top states in Nigeria, achieve zero poverty headcount, boost GDP growth and develop human capital.”

Enugu State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ndubueze Mbah, said the smart school teachers recruitment is for all subjects offered by secondary schools.

 

Professor Ndubueze said teachers would have attractive salaries, fully furnished solar-powered one-room self-contain apartment within the smart school.

 

Ndubueze said other benefits for the pioneer teachers would include continuous annual professional development training from international and national partners, free smart green education for teachers’ children, and technology training to become smart teachers.

 

Applicants are to be Enugu citizens, with minimum qualification in National Certificate in Education. The Commissioner said preferred qualification to be Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification, BSc, BEd, BEng, BTech and HND. Masters and PhD holders were desired to apply. Aside qualifications, teachers with years of experience were advised to apply.
