After Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki revealed that Inspector General Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun was closely collaborating with the All Progressives Congress (APC), which resulted in the arrest of PDP members in recent weeks, the IGP went into panic mode and hurried to charge the PDP members who had been detained on false accusations.
The arrested PDP members are reportedly going to be charged in a remote Magistrate Court located in an Abuja suburb, far from the scene of the alleged crimes.
Sources within the PDP have however described the move as a mere subterfuge and have insisted that the party will still not participate in the sham peace accord that a biased police is superintending over as their actions have shown that they are working in cahoots with the opposition APC.
The move is allegedly to advance the devious plans by the APC who have repeatedly boasted to use ‘Federal Might’ to ensure victory against the will or wishes of Edo people, having realized they don’t stand a chance at victory in a free, fair and credible election.
