Aisha, Obi supporters are toxic than Atiku supporters- Onanuga

Special Adviser to Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said Aisha Yesufu and other Peter Obi supporters remained toxic than Atiku supporters even though it is one year after election.

Onanuga said this on June 19 while reacting to Aisha’s comment on a video that showed the South African president, Ramaphosa’s swearing ceremony on Wednesday.

In the video, Ramaphosa greeted the traditional rulers in the first row. However, President Tinubu was in second row. Ramaphosa did not greet him and other dignitaries in the second row. Aisha misconstrued it to be snubbing Nigeria’s president.

Reacting to the video, Aisah wrote on her X handle, “My people say Pikin wey no hear word for house na for outside dem go disgrace am! Tinubu Disgraced Once Again In South Africa.” Aisha’s comment and the video she shared attracted many likes and comments from Aisha’s supporters, even though it was misleading.

Reacting, Onanuga said Aisha and Peter Obi supporters’ toxicity for Tinubu leads them to quick judgement and celebrate anything about Tinubu.

Bayo said unlike Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), supporters, Obi supporters remained toxic after 2023 election, even though Obi came third in the last election.

“Aisha and her uncouth horde of pessimists are always quick to rush to judgment with any whiff of what appears to them to be negative to the leader of Africa’s biggest democracy.

“More than a year after the 2023 election, in which their candidate came third, they remain incurably bitter and toxic, more than the supporters of the man who came second,” Onanuga.
